Knowledge, attitude and practice towards Hepatitis B infection of people in part of Jigawa State, Nigeria

This study analyzed Knowledge, Attitude/Perception and Practice of the people toward hepatitis B infection in four local governments Ringim Emirate, Jigawa State. The data were obtained using questionnaire instrument organized processed SPSS version 20 descriptive statistics inferential statistics. result shows that very few (4.9%) showed good level knowledge infection, only (3.4%) show practice. also correlation coefficient 0.917 indicated a positive between scores. findings revealed there is no statistically significant different educational Hepatitis (p=.336). However, difference, (p=.000) among other items socio- demographic characteristics. suggested public health education needed to improve knowledge, attitude practice on B. Implementation community mass media programme raise awareness about all forms especially radios. Health care providers who are involved control need set schedule provide education, increase contact case screening, early identifying treating will help prevention controlling infection.
